Um, so it is Tuesday before my date with "B" tomorrow and I have not heard from him. Granted we spoke on the phone last week to make these plans, but there should be some sort of confirmation this week right? I mean we never even finalized where to go. Is he expecting me to just wait around until tomorrow? He can call me at 7 and I can be somewhere by 8?
Now, please correct me if I am wrong, because this whole dating thing is not something I'm too familiar with (I admit it and perhaps another post will be about my non-existent dating history). I just feel like at least forty eight hours is not too much to ask. I know he said he was busy with work and stuff, but guess what "B"? So is everyone! You are not the only busy person in the world or in NYC for that matter! I just feel like it is a respect thing, and by not getting in touch its showing that he really doesn't care all that much about meeting me at all. At least that is the impression he is making on me. So, tell me...am I right? Or totally off base?

Bad form, B! He may just be lame...what happens if he gets in touch today though?
OK, so why can't you call him? I understand about the old fashioned "the guy should do all that", but you have to put yourself out there a bit. He's not going to bite you if you call the day before to find out what his plan is. It will let him know that you are not a last minute kind of girl and that you can be a little "take charge". You want to know something, you find out. In the rest of your life you do not hesitate to take control, so what's the deal here? I love you, LaLa, you know that, but for cryin' out loud, call and find out what you need to know.....
I second that "Other Sister of Accomplice"!! That's all!!
So, I have to say that I whole heartedly agree with Other Sister of Accomplice. I have never known you to stand by and let the world run you. I think you should pick up the phone and call to let him know you are not the type to jump at last minute plans. Lay the pathwork for good communications by letting him know what your expectations are. Put it out there so you can be prepared and force him to plan ahead as well. Now, pick up that phone and give him a holler!
Eww! I have to respectfully disagree with the above posts! He should HAVE called you by now and if you want to tell him to go screw when he actually does call, I wouldn't blame you. However, being the quest as it is, call him, find the place and then order something expensive on his dime!!! Love, Sister of Accomplice
Hi it's Sharon. I totally disagree and I think he should call you. Hopefully he has by the time you read my comment. In the beginning yes, the guy should court YOU-- not the other way around. It's not old fashioned, it's just the nice/proper thing to do. Dont be chasing after him! Let him come to you! Then you will truly know if he is into it or not. And if he doesnt-- then see ya and you can move on. Now in dating, as you get to know eachother, and he has shown you that he has made you a priority, you can then feel free to call him, make plans, etc. But in the beginning it MUST come from him. The guy courting the girl is something that NEVER goes out of style. Good luck!
